Seventeenth Annual African-American Heritage program  in Baton Rouge Louisiana
African-American Heritage holds 17th annual celebration
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — In a packed Federal Court House today residents and students celebrating the Seventeenth Annual African-American Heritage program and opening today's ceremony, a full color guard from McKinley High school junior-rotc. The guest speaker Dr. Sandra Yancy Mc Guire. She's the Vice Chancellor for Learning and Teaching at LSU and also a Professor of Chemistry. Dr Mc Guire is a Baton Rouge civil rights pioneer and one of the first students to intergrate glen oaks high school.
